Thank you for visiting the Internet site of the Division of Finance and Corporate Securities and permitting us to share information with you and others who have an interest in our division. We have implemented some interactive capabilities to make it easier to conduct business with our division over the Internet. We are committed to expanding these features.

The 15 programs administered through this Division touch nearly all Oregonians and many residents of other states in one way or another. It is our hope that this site will help us to become more effective in responding to the needs of the public, be they individuals or the organizations we regulate.

On our Web site, you will find our mission: To encourage a wide range of financial services, products, and information for Oregonians, delivered in a safe, sound, equitable, and fraud-free manner. This ties directly to the broader mission of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, namely, to protect consumers and workers. We expect providers to make financial products and services available in a straightforward manner, disclosing the pertinent characteristics so consumers may make informed choices. We encourage citizens to contact us when they have concerns about the businesses we regulate, just as we want those businesses we regulate to express their concerns. To facilitate this we have several sites that provide answers to frequently asked questions and on-line complaint forms for filing a complaint with any of our various programs.

The Division meets with industry groups on a regular basis to have an exchange of views about services and any policy initiatives that may affect them. This cooperation has helped us achieve our mission. If you have matters that you believe should be discussed at those meetings, please let us know. We welcome and appreciate your comments that will help us improve our service to you.
