Oregon OSHA offers free training in Bend
BEND - The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (OR-OSHA)
will offer free training sessions to members of the Bend-area business
community during two days of workshops in July.
The Public Education and Conferences Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering
four different workshops during the training sessions on July 9 &
10:
- Safety & Heath Management Planning, 8:00am July 9.
- Confined Space Safety, 1:00pm July 9.
- Accident Investigation, 8:00am July 10.
- Exposure Control/Bloodborne Pathogens, 1:00pm July 10.
Safety & Heath Management Planning' is an introduction class
for employers to learn about creating safe workplaces and planning ahead.
Confined Space Safety' will help participants learn about the special
safety requirements when a worker will be inside of a confined space (or
inside of machinery), and when a special permit is required. Accident
Investigation' will provide training about conducting an investigation
into workplace injury or safety incidents and Exposure Control/Bloodborne
Pathogens' discusses how to protect workers from bloodborne diseases and
contamination as well as implementing an effective exposure control plan.
The workshops will be held at the National Guard Armory Room #140B, 875
SW Simpson Avenue in Bend. OR-OSHA provides workshop materials for participants.
Oregon OSHA offers a variety of conferences, on-site training, educational
resources and consultation services to help Oregon employers create safer
workplaces and reduce the amount of productivity lost due to injuries
