Oregon OSHA free safety training offered in Grants Pass
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) will
be presenting two days of free training classes for employers and workers
in Grants Pass during October.
The Public Education and Conferences Section of Oregon OSHA will be offering
four different workshops during the training sessions on October 29 and
30:
Safety & Health Management, 8:00am October 29
Job Hazard Analysis, 1:00pm October 29.
Effective Safety Supervision, 8:00am October 30.
Safety Committee Meeting Management, 1:00pm October 30.
Safety & Health Management' is an introduction class for
employers to learn about creating safe workplaces and planning ahead.
Job Hazard Analysis' will guide participants through a process for
prioritizing which workplace hazards should be corrected first and how
to eliminate hazards in the future. Effective Safety Supervision'
gives supervisors a greater understanding about providing a safe workplace,
the costs of safety and Oregon OSHA rules that apply to all workplaces.
Safety Committee Meeting Management' will show participants how
to conduct effective safety committee meetings, and how keep safety committee
members motivated and involved.
The workshops will be held at the Hillcrest Fire Station Training Room,
199 NW Hillcrest Drive in Grants Pass. OR-OSHA provides workshop materials
for participants.
Oregon OSHA offers a variety of training, educational resources and consultation
services to help Oregon employers create safer workplaces and reduce the
